Tidal
Understanding pairs
Tide is rising or falling position or ocean surface waters caused by the gravitational influence of the moon and sun. There are three styles of interacting sources: sea, sun, and moon. Cause changes in the depth of tidal waters and the resulting vortex currents known as tidal currents, so that the estimated incidence of plug is needed in coastal navigation. Sunset beach area during high tide and exposed during tides, called pasangs zone.
Tidal period is the time between wave peaks or troughs to peaks or valleys the next wave. Long period tides varies between 12 hours 25 minutes to 24 hours 50 minutes

Type of tide
There are three basic types of tide:
There are three basic types of tide:
- Diurnal
- Semidiurnal
- Mixed tides
Causes of tides
Within a month, the daily variation of tidal range systematically changing the cycles of the moon. Range also depends on the tidal waters of the shape and configuration of the ocean floor.
Is the result of tidal forces of gravity and centrifugal effects. Centrifugal effect is thrust outward rotation center (the earth). Gravity varies directly with the mass but inversely proportional to the distance. Although the size of the moon is smaller than the Sun, but the moon's gravitational force two times greater than the Sun in generating gravity tides in the ocean because of the distance closer than the distance of the Sun to the Earth. The force of gravity pulls the water towards the sea and the sun and the moon produces two gravitational tidal bulge in the sea. Latitude of the tidal bulge is determined by the declination, the angle between the axis of rotation of the earth and moon and sun orbital plane.
Tidal moon (spring tide) occurs when the Earth, moon and sun are in a straight line. At high tide it will produce a very high and very low tides. This full moon tide occurs during new moon and full moon.
Neap tide (neap tide) occurs when the Earth, moon and sun form a straight angle. At the moment it will produce a low tide and high tide. Neap tide occurs when the moon is a quarter and three quarters.

Tidal water transportation
Knowledge of tidal waters is needed in transport, port activities, development in the coastal areas, and others. Due to the tidal nature of the periodic, it can be predicted.
To be able to predict tidal data are necessary amplitude and phase difference of the individual components of tidal power. As already mentioned, the main components of tidal component of the center consists of daily and daily. However, due to its interaction with the shape (morphology) of the beach, the superposition between the main tidal components, and other factors will result in the formation of the components of the new tide.
